Conservative win removes threat to homes

The multi award-winning estate and letting agency franchise, HomeXperts, hosted a talk with Local Conservative MP, Robin Walker, to congratulate him on his recent election success. HomeXperts welcomed Robin into their Central Office in Worcester, on Friday 22nd May, to thank him on following on his efforts of support to stop the introduction of a ban on letting fees. A removal of letting agency fees, as proposed by the Labour Government, would have adversely affected the health of the private rental sector. This impractical policy would have been likely to cause an increase on rents charged to tenants. The proposal to cap rents would dramatically reduce the number of private residential landlords in the market. Robin Walker, Local Conservative MP, who was recently re-elected as MP for Worcester, improving his share of votes by 5.8%, Robin states, ?It is always good to see a business in Worcester expand and helping people to find high quality, affordable homes to live in. The strength of the local economy and recovery of the property market are two things which make Worcester an exceptional place to live. Businesses and SMEs are crucial to economic development by creating new jobs and better apprenticeships for local people.? Sussanne Chambers is the Founder and Managing Director of HomeXperts, who have 27 branches across the UK. Sussanne adds, ?We were delighted to meet with Robin Walker to discuss the impact of the Conservative win on the property market. Now that the threat of removing letting agency fees has disappeared, businesses like HomeXperts can concentrate on providing an exceptional level of service to both landlords and tenants. The ill-conceived plans by Labour, had they have been elected to parliament, would have been devastating for the property market. I believe this would have increased rents for tenants and created a massive exodus of landlords leaving the private sector, resulting in less good quality housing.?
